Glen Grant 1957, 64 Year Old "Mr George Legacy 2nd Edition" G&M, 700ml

Glen Grant, a renowned Speyside distillery, was founded in 1839 by James and John Grant. It expanded significantly under John "The Major" Grant and further in the 1970s after merging with The Glenlivet Distillers and being taken over by Seagram. Glen Grant became Italy's favorite whisky in the 1960s, thanks to Armando Giovinetti, and was acquired by Gruppo Campari in 2006.

Gordon & MacPhail, a key bottler, received high-quality casks from Glen Grant. This exceptional whisky was filled into a first-fill ex-Sherry butt on October 10, 1957, and bottled at cask strength in 2021, resulting in 298 bottles. The Italian parent firm's preference for younger output often allows Gordon & MacPhail access to impressively aged casks.
