Glen Elgin 12 Year Old, 700ml

The Glen Elgin distillery was founded in 1898 and is located near Elgin in Speyside. It is owned by Diageo and uses traditional methods, including worm tub condensers, which help create a heavier style of spirit. The distillery draws water from the Glen Burn and produces whisky mainly for blends, with the 12 Year Old being its main single malt. The whisky is aged in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, giving it a richer character than many other Speyside malts, which tend to be lighter and fruitier.

Tasting Note:
