Ardmore 2003 "Distillery Labels" G&M, 700ml
"Distillery Labels" Ardmore 2003, (bottled in 2022)
Established in 1898 by William Teacher & Sons, the distillery was built specifically to produce a consistent and reliable malt whisky for their well-known blend, Teacher's Highland Cream. Today, Ardmore remains under the ownership of Suntory Global Spirits.
Ardmore draws its water from springs located on Knockandy Hill. This water is known for its minerality. It incorporates a gentle level of peating into their malting process, adding a touch of smokiness without overpowering the spirit.
Originally equipped with two stills, the distillery has since doubled its capacity to four wash stills and four spirit stills.
Ardmore is a great starting point for those new to peated whiskies, and a reliable choice for seasoned enthusiasts who appreciate a lighter style.
