Graham's 40 Years Old Tawny Port, 4.5L

The Graham’s 40 Years Old Tawny Port is a blend of traditional Douro varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão, sourced from schist soil vineyards across Graham’s key estates at Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta do Tua, Quinta das Lages, Quinta da Vila Velha and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas. The bunches are hand sorted, gently destemmed and fermented in lagares for a short period before fortification to a finished 20 percent alcohol, then aged in 600L oak vats at Vila Nova de Gaia for an average of forty years. Residual sugar around 120g/l.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of dried fig, raisin and date with toffee, caramel, chocolate, orange peel and walnut. Palate is concentrated with sustained sweetness balanced by freshness and mellowed tannins. Overall impression is of long cask ageing delivering mature complexity and a very long finish.
