Chateau de Laubade Bas Armagnac 21 Year Old, 700ml
Produced in the Bas Armagnac region by the Lesgourgues family estate, founded in 1870. It is part of the “Essentials” range. The spirit is made from estate-grown Baco, Folle Blanche, and Colombard grapes, each distilled separately in a traditional continuous alembic still. The eaux-de-vie are aged between 21 and 25 years in Gascony oak barrels coopered on-site. The final blend is selected from 420-liter casks and bottled at 45.3% ABV.
Tasting Note:
The nose opens with ripe plum, candied fruit, vanilla, and butterscotch, followed by hints of exotic spices and toasted oak. The palate is rich and textured, showing layers of figs, dark fruits, saffron, and soft spice. The finish is long and complex, with lingering notes of dried fruits and subtle sweetness. The profile is balanced and expressive, offering depth and finesse without overpowering intensit.
