Produced in the Bas Armagnac region by the Lesgourgues family estate, founded in 1870. Château de Laubade Millésime 1973 is part of the “Millésimes Collection,” a special release composed entirely of eaux-de-vie from the 1973 harvest. The spirit was distilled in the same year using a traditional continuous alembic still and matured in Gascony oak barrels coopered on-site. It was bottled at 40% ABV. The blend includes Baco, Colombard, Folle Blanche, and Ugni Blanc grapes, each vinified and distilled separately to preserve varietal character.
The nose displays aromas of gum, coffee bean, vanilla extract, nut butter, dark caramel, and molasses. The palate is succulent and sweet, showing flavors of dark caramel, honey, old oak, and maple. The finish is semisweet and chocolaty, with a luscious texture. The profile is rich and balanced, offering depth and maturity with refined sweetness.
