Chateau de Laubade Armagnac Millesime 1969, 700ml
Produced in the Bas Armagnac region by the Lesgourgues family estate, founded in 1870. Château de Laubade Millésime 1969 is part of the “Millésimes Collection,” a special release composed entirely of eaux-de-vie from the 1969 harvest. The spirit was distilled in the same year using a traditional continuous alembic still and matured in Gascony oak barrels coopered on-site. It was bottled in 1998 and released at 40% ABV. The blend includes Baco, Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Ugni Blanc grapes, each vinified and distilled separately to preserve varietal character.
Tasting Note:
The nose reveals candied tangerine, vanilla, and toasted oak, with underlying notes of ripe plum and soft spice. The palate is round and supple, showing dried fruits, gentle sweetness, and a delicate mouthfeel. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering warmth and refined maturity. The profile is balanced and expressive, reflecting the depth and finesse of extended ageing.
