Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 2005, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from the 5 Grands Crus villages from the Cote de Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger).

5% of the blend is aged in new oak barrels to create the very delicate balance of toasted notes in the final wine. Aged for 10 years on its lees before release. Dosage 9g/l.

Tasting Note:

The nose shows refined aromas of lemon, citrus peel, chalk and subtle toasted notes. The palate is creamy yet precise, supported by bright acidity and a fine, persistent mousse, with layered citrus and mineral flavours carried through to a long, dry and composed finish. Overall, the wine combines maturity with clarity and balance, offering depth without heaviness.
