Joh. Jos. Prum "Wehlener Sonnenuhr" Riesling Spatlese 2023, 750ml

100% Riesling grown on steep, south-southwest-facing slopes with a 70% gradient, composed of highly reflective, weathered gray slate, with ungrafted vines averaging 40 years of age. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented slowly in stainless steel using native yeasts, with no oak influence and no malolactic fermentation. The wine is bottled with 8% alcohol and approximately 75–85 g/L of residual sugar.

Tasting Note:

Aromatically, it opens with honeysuckle, white peach, and spring herbs, underpinned by a smoky, slate-driven minerality. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, showing ripe nectarine, Meyer lemon, and pineapple, balanced by vivid acidity and a fine mineral edge.
