Rockford Black Shiraz Sparkling N.V., 750ml

Each year, specific parcels of Shiraz are selected for Sparkling Black Shiraz. After maturing in oak barrels for 2 years, a portion of this newer vintage is blended with the Rockford Black Shiraz base blend. This base wine ensures consistency and complexity, true to the Rockford style.

The blended wine is bottled and undergoes a second fermentation, transforming it into sparkling wine. It is then aged on yeast lees, hand-riddled, disgorged, and liqueured with fortified Shiraz. (Disgorged Aug 2022)

Tasting Note:

Deep, dark, rich and spicy with multi layered textural refinement, a full body, dry flavours and full spectrum of dark ripe plums held together in a beautifully structured sparkling wine.
