Crafted to its original recipe, it's distilled by Combier Distillery in the Loire Valley, renowned for its quality.
Infused with caraway seeds, this clear liqueur has long been cherished, especially by golf clubs for "putting mixture" and by bartenders for cocktails. In 2022 its classic bottle shape was reintroduced to honor Ludwig Mentzendorff's 200th birthday.
Production involves steeping caraway seeds in natural alcohol from sugar beet, then double distilling for exceptional clarity and flavor. The final product, at 38% abv, is carefully bottled after two months of aging, with each bottle sealed by hand.
