Domaine Lignier Michelot Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru "Les Faconnieres" 2019, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1946 and 1960) in the Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Les Faconnières lieu-dit (0.52ha) on a steep southeast-facing slope with shallow limestone-rich soils over hard mother rock. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified with 80-100% whole clusters and short cold maceration without punch-downs, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic completed. Aged 18-20 months in oak barrels using around 40% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show black cherry and wild raspberry along with violet and wet stone notes. The palate delivers dense concentration and finesse with velvety tannic structure and vibrant acidity. Overall impression is one of powerful elegance and exceptionally long persistence reflecting the ripe yet mineral vintage character.
