Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2007, 750ml
Château Mouton Rothschild 2007 is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, sourced from 82 hectares of gravelly soils in Pauillac. The grapes were fully destemmed and fermented in traditional oak vats made in Cognac, with fermentation temperatures kept below 32°C using external cooling systems. The wine was aged in 100% new French oak barrels for approximately 18 months.
Tasting Note:
Aromas reveal tobacco leaf, cigar box, and black fruit, with hints of warm gravel and truffle. The palate is medium-bodied, compact, and finely structured, showing blackberry, sous-bois, and a touch of white pepper. Overall, the wine is elegant and polished, with restrained extraction and a classic Pauillac profile that is aging gracefully.
