Macallan 2007 "Speymalt" G&M (2026 release), 700ml

This is a high-proof, cask-strength expression from Gordon & MacPhail's renowned Speymalt from Macallan Distillery series. Distilled in 2007 and matured in sherry casks, this release captures raw cask-strength Macallan spirit bottled without dilution at 60.3% ABV in 2026. Produced using traditional copper pot stills at the Macallan Distillery in Speyside, the spirit uses local water from the Ringorm Burn and rich sherry oak influence.

Tasting Note:

Aroma: Intense and concentrated with dark raisins, Demerara sugar, and dried fig opening up to dark chocolate, polished oak, and warm cinnamon spice.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied with a warming heat; bold flavors of stewed plums, dark fruitcake, and bitter orange peel are balanced by espresso bean, sweet nutmeg, and sticky treacle.

Finish: Long, viscous, and lingering, featuring persistent oak tannins, cocoa powder, warm baking spices, and a drying sherry sweetness.
