Glenfarclas 15 Year Old, 700ml

This is a core expression within the family-owned Glenfarclas Distillery’s range, sitting at a higher proof than both its 10 and 12 Year Old counterparts. Distilled in direct-fired copper pot stills and matured exclusively in 100% Oloroso sherry casks within traditional dunnage warehouses, the spirit relies on local water sourced from the slopes of Ben Rinnes. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and retains its natural color.

Tasting Note: 

Aroma: Complex and inviting with intense sherry influence, rich dark fruit cake, dried raisins, dates, and candied orange peel. Hints of dark chocolate, cinnamon, toasted walnuts, and a subtle menthol lift emerge over time.

Palate: Full-bodied and oily on the palate with a robust balance of sweet dark fruit, Christmas pudding, and bitter cocoa. The mid-palate reveals layers of Demerara sugar, stewed plums, orange zest, and warming baking spices.

Finish: Long and warming, featuring lingering notes of rich fruitcake, dark cocoa powder, persistent oak tannins, and a subtle dry nuttiness.
