Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet Blanc V.V. 2022, 750ml

This is produced from 1.50 hectares of 50-year-old vines planted in calcareous clay soil. The grapes, harvested and sorted carefully from a dozen parcels on the lower slopes with a wide exposure from northeast to southwest. Fermented in tanks with judicious bâtonnage and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months in a combination of tanks, used, and 20% new barriques, then assembled in tanks to integrate before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The 2022 opens with aromas of ripe pear, white peach, lemon, hazelnut, and white flowers with subtle toasted oak and mineral notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied with rich yet precise orchard fruit, creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity, fine minerality, and a long, saline, harmonious finish. Generous, classic, and built for ageing.
