Domaine Jean Tardy Echezeaux Grand Cru "Les Treux" V.V. 2021, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1937, around 0.34ha) in the Les Treux lieu-dit of Echézeaux Grand Cru, adjacent to Grands Echézeaux with clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, fully destemmed, given a cold pre-fermentation maceration, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by 18-20 days total cuvaison. Aged 18 months in oak barrels using 100% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show redcurrant and raspberry along with toast and spice notes. The palate delivers succulence and finesse with fine tannic structure and lively acidity. Overall impression is one of elegant intensity and persistent length reflecting the fresh vintage character in Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir.
