Domaine Laurent Roumier Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2022, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir grown in the Grand Maupertuis sector of Clos Vougeot, a high-elevation parcel bordering Grands Echezeaux and Musigny, with deep, limestone-rich soils and vines averaging 35 years of age. The grapes were fully destemmed and fermented in concrete vats using native yeasts, with daily pumping over and punching down during a traditional maceration. After a 12-hour settling period, the wine was transferred by gravity into barrels, 50% of which were new, sourced from the same cooperage used by Christophe Roumier. Ageing lasted 15 to 18 months.

Tasting Note:

Aromatically, the wine opens with dark berry fruit and subtle earthy tones. The palate is structured and concentrated, with firm tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish. Overall, it’s a classically styled Clos Vougeot that balances depth and precision, built for ageing.
