Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay grown on a 0.66-hectare parcel in the Premier Cru "Les Caillerets", located on a steep southeast-facing slope in Chassagne-Montrachet. The vineyard features poor clay-limestone soils and 70-year-old vines with deep roots anchored in the limestone bedrock. Grapes were manually harvested and gently crushed, followed by fermentation in French oak barrels, 30% of which were new. The wine underwent bâtonnage and natural malolactic fermentation at cellar temperature (13–14°C), then aged for 12 months in barrel and an additional 6 months in tank before bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of citrus, white peach, and subtle spice. The palate is taut and mineral, with fine acidity and a long, elegant finish. Overall, the wine is refined and structured, expressing the tension and depth of this high-altitude 1er Cru site.
