Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet Blanc V.V. 2021, 750ml

This is produced from 1.50 hectares of 50-year-old vines planted in calcareous clay soil. The grapes, harvested and sorted carefully from a dozen parcels on the lower slopes with a wide exposure from northeast to southwest. Fermented in tanks with judicious bâtonnage and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months in a combination of tanks, used, and 20% new barriques, then assembled in tanks to integrate before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The nose is intense, with notes of glace pineapple, lime, roasted nut and an exotic element, almost tropical. The palate is equally if not more intense. Incredibly tight, citrus-slaked and steely with the freshness supporting flavours of roasted cashew, pineapple, grapefruit and some vanilla.
