Domaine Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Ruchottes" 2020, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines in the Les Ruchottes Premier Cru (0.46ha) on the upper south-facing slope of Chassagne-Montrachet with thin limestone-rich soils over rock. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole cluster pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tank before transfer to oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 12-15 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood with extended lees contact and no batonnage.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show white peach and lemon confit along with hazelnut and stony mineral notes. The palate delivers intense concentration and density with vibrant acidity and pronounced chalky texture. Overall impression is one of powerful elegance and exceptionally long persistence reflecting the ripe yet mineral vintage character in Côte de Beaune Chardonnay.
