Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey 1er Cru "La Mission" Monopole Blanc 2019, 1.5L

La Mission, a monopole of Château de Chamirey, consists of three small plots planted between 1961 and 1997. The east/south-west facing vineyard sits on a hilltop above Premier Cru 'Clos du Roi' with deep, draining soils of clay, limestone, and sand.

Fermentation and aging occur in traditional 228-liter Burgundian barrels for 14 months with 15% barrels, using lightly toasted French oak from Allier and Vosges forests. The wine spends two months in tanks and undergoes light filtration before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The nose is expressive and intense, offering fruity and spicy notes of anise and mint, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich with a generous mid-palate, displaying excellent balance between acidity and roundness, leading to a fresh and satisfying finish.
