The Grand Cru range is made from estate-grown grapes, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sourced from older vines. The wines are vinified with a focus on structure and aging potential, typically matured in French oak barrels to enhance complexity and texture. Los Boldos apart is its emphasize precision viticulture and its integration of European expertise with Chilean climate, producing wines with depth and balance. Founded in 1991 and now owned by the Portuguese wine group Sogrape.
Tasting Note:
Aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and dried herbs, layered with cedar and subtle earthy tones. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, showing ripe dark fruit, firm tannins, and well-integrated oak. The finish is long and savory, with hints of tobacco and graphite.
