Domaine Jean Charles Rion Nuits Saint Georges V.V. 2021, 750ml

From a 1.2-hectare parcel of old vines near Prémeaux-Prissey, with limestone-rich clay and pebbly scree soils. 100% Pinot Noir fully destemmed, fermented with native yeasts in open stainless steel vats, and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, including some new oak.

Tasting Note:

A nice concentrated nose, with a bouquet of dark berries such as black cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by forest floor truffles and a hint of smoke. In the palate, the dark berries continue, as well as fullness and structure with a lively acidity that ends with notes of licorice and an earthy minerality.
