Domaine Matrot Meursault 1er Cru "Blagny" 2018, 750ml

100% Chardonnay grown on limestone and clay soils at higher elevation above Meursault, where cooler conditions lend freshness and structure. The vines are around 30 years old and farmed sustainably. Grapes are picked by hand, pressed whole cluster, and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, with 10 to 20 percent new wood.

Pale gold color and enticing aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, and toasted nuts, this Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru captivates the senses from the first sip. On the palate, it reveals layers of flavors ranging from ripe pear and peach to hazelnut and honey, all framed by a firm structure and a long, lingering finish.
