Domaine Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Ruchottes" 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines in the Les Ruchottes Premier Cru (0.46ha) on the upper south-facing slope of Chassagne-Montrachet with thin limestone-rich soils over rock. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole cluster pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tank before transfer to oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 12-15 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood with extended lees contact and no batonnage.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show lemon zest and white peach along with flint and white flower notes. The palate delivers tense concentration and vibrancy with pronounced chalky minerality and bright acidity. Overall impression is one of coiled power and razor-sharp persistence reflecting the fresh vintage character.
