Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue Batard Montrachet Grand Cru 2017, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines (over 50 years) in the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (0.53ha) on the Puligny-Montrachet side with limestone-rich clay soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole cluster pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tank before transfer to oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 12-15 months in oak barrels using 50% new wood with extended lees contact and no batonnage.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show fresh pear and Meyer lemon along with white flowers and pastry cream notes. The palate delivers full body and concentration with textural depth and structural acidity. Overall impression is one of incisive tension and chalky persistence reflecting the ripe yet tense vintage character in Côte de Beaune Chardonnay.
