Chateau de Laubade Bas Armagnac Millesime 1987, 700ml
Chateau de Laubade Bas Armagnac Millesime 1987, 700ml is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This is a single-vintage expression from Château de Laubade, the largest continuous-vineyard property in the Bas Armagnac region. Distilled exclusively from the 1987 harvest using traditional continuous Armagnac alembic stills, the spirit is crafted from a blend of Baco, Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Colombard grapes. Aged individually for decades in 400-liter Gascon oak barrels, this single-year bottling was brought to strength at 40% ABV without blending across vintages.
Tasting Note:
Aroma: Warm and inviting with aromas of candied orange peel, rancio, and dried figs opening into toasted almonds, beeswax, and sweet oak spice.
Palate: Smooth and rich on the palate, showing balanced flavors of dark honey, stewed plum, and baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, supported by a gentle leatheriness.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering notes of dark cocoa, persistent oak tannins, dried fruit, and a soft, lingering spice.
