Chateau de Laubade Armagnac Millesime 1980, 700ml
Chateau de Laubade Armagnac Millesime 1980, 700ml is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Distilled in 1980 from a traditional Bas-Armagnac blend (primarily Baco, with Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard), aged for over 44 years in Gascony oak in the château’s cellars. Bottled at 40% ABV.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas of rancio, old leather, dried figs, prune, toasted walnut, dark chocolate, cigar box, and orange peel, with hints of antique polish. With air, roasted chestnut and a trace of truffle appear.
The palate is rich and seamless, with sweet dates and apricots lifted by rancio-driven acidity. Silky tannins provide structure without dryness. Exceptional length, finishing on cocoa, and lingering peppery warmth.
A fully mature Bas-Armagnac of power, elegance, and depth, at its peak now and for decades to come.
