Keyes (60%): At 1,850 ft. on Howell Mountain, this vineyard's volcanic soil and cool nights produce Merlot with dark fruits and minerality.
Missimer (14%): In Yountville AVA, near the Napa River, fertile soil yields rich Merlot with blue and black fruit notes and structured tannins.
Buena Tierra (11%): In Oak Knoll AVA, loose loam soil produces wines with bright fruit and savory undertones.
Benessere (10%): In St. Helena AVA, gravelly soil and warm climate produce Merlot with plum, blueberry notes, and elegant tannins.
94% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in19 months in French Oak, 32% new.
Tasting Note:
The nose opens with notes of blueberry, cedar, carob, and baking spices. The palate is lush yet well-structured with flavors of black fruit compote, milk chocolate, oak spice, and cigar box. The tannins are evident but integrated and refined, giving it a long, lingering finish.
