Freemark Abbey "Sycamore Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, 750ml
Located in the Rutherford AVA, Sycamore was planted in the mid-1970s and has been producing high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon since its first commercial crop in 1984. Originally purchased and restored by John Bryan, the vineyard remains under the ownership of the Bryan family, and has approximately 9.7 hectares.
Sycamore fertile clay loam soils, eastern sun exposure, and proximity to the Mayacamas mountains create the perfect climate for growing rich, textured Cabernet.
Tasting Note:
The wine is deep garnet in color with aromas reminiscent of black currant, pomegranate, baking spice, forest floor and espresso. The palate is rich and textured with flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, leather, and warm oak spices.
