Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, 750ml

A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, and 1% Merlot, sourced from estate vineyards in Oakville and Calistoga, as well as select valley floor, benchland, and mountain sites across Napa Valley. The fruit was fully destemmed before fermentation. Fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts, followed by 18 to 24 months of ageing in French oak barrels, 41% of which were new.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, it presents dark chocolate, pomegranate, cedar, blackberry, and leather. The palate is structured and layered, showing black cherry, blueberry compote, espresso, and cigar box, with fine-grained tannins and a long, balanced finish. Overall, the wine reflects a classic Napa style with a shift toward greater fruit purity and nuanced oak integration.
