Tyrrell's "Rufus Stone" Heathcote Shiraz 2024, 750ml

This 100% Shiraz is sourced from premium vineyards in the Heathcote region, distinguished by ancient Cambrian greenstone and red earth soils. The fruit was harvested at peak maturity and fermented in a combination of stainless steel and open-top fermenters. The wine aged for 12 months in a selection of small and large-format seasoned French oak barrels to enhance texture while maintaining the vibrant fruit profile. Following the wood ageing, the wine was blended and stayed in the bottle for 4 months of stabilization before release.

Tasting Note:

The nose is aromatic with notes of dark cherry, plum, and a hint of white pepper. The palate is medium-bodied and plush, featuring flavors of blackberry and subtle earthy spice supported by fine-grained tannins. The finish is smooth and persistent with a characteristic savory edge.
