Tyrrell's Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2024, 750ml

Sourced from a mix of estate and long-term grower vineyards across the Pokolbin area, where varied microclimates and volcanic soils contribute to the wine’s layered profile. Individual Chardonnay blocks were picked between 11–23 January and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and French oak barriques, with 15% new oak used to season barrels for higher-tier wines. No malolactic fermentation was employed; instead, the wine was held on yeast lees to build texture and complexity prior to blending and bottling on 12 December 2024.

Tasting Note:

The nose shows citrus, white stone fruit, and subtle oak spice with a hint of solids-derived flintiness. The palate is medium-bodied and textured, with a soft acid finish that carries fruit purity and length.
