Esporao Reserva Tinto 2022, 750ml

Produced exclusively from certified organic vineyards at Herdade do Esporão in the Alentejo. The 2022 blend comprises Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira, Aragonez, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from vineyards with an average age of around 20 years, planted on granite‑ and schist‑derived soils with clay structure. Each variety was vinified separately, with fermentation in stainless steel, concrete or marble vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. The wine was aged for 12 months in oak barrels, approximately 20% new and 80% used, combining American and French oak, and subsequently rested for at least 6 months in bottle before release. Bottled at 14% abv.

Tasting Note:

An intense ruby colour with lifted aromas of ripe red and black fruit layered with spice and subtle oak nuances. The palate is lively and well structured, showing solid concentration, fine‑grained tannins and balanced acidity. Flavours of red berries and spice carry through to a persistent, harmonious finish with clarity and depth.
