Boscarelli "Il Nocio" Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2015, 750ml

Fruit from the Vigna del Nocio vineyard in Cervognano at 300 meters above sea level on alluvial soils with sand, limestone, and clay. The blend is 100% Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile. Grapes are destemmed and softly pressed before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in small oak vats. The wine ages 18 to 24 months in Allier and Slavonian oak casks ranging from 5 to 10 hectoliters, where malolactic fermentation occurs, followed by several months in bottle.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of black cherry, plum, violet, iris, and earth.
The palate shows full body with ripe red and black fruit, layered complexity, firm tannins, and a long finish.
Overall, this is consistent and balanced with 10-15 years of aging potential.
