Travaglini Gattinara 2019, 750ml
This wine is a blend from various vineyards on the estate, situated at altitudes between 300 and 450 meters above sea level. The vines, aged between 15 and 45 years, benefit from a South/Southwest exposure.
The grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks for about 15-18 days at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 30 months, followed by a brief aging period of a few months in the bottle before release.
Tasting Note:
On the nose, it offers soft floral notes of violet and rose petal, evolving into a touch of spice and balsam over time. There are hints of minerals, sometimes ferrous, showcasing the meticulous detail and complexity that only Nebbiolo from this land can provide.
On the palate, it exhibits extreme elegance with a perfect balance of freshness, noble yet subtle tannins, and a long, infinite persistence of small fruits, flowers, and fruit jelly.
