Ca' del Baio Langhe Chardonnay "Valentine" 2024, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is produced from the estate's oldest vines planted in the mid-1980s in Treiso, situated on white calcareous marl soils with significant sandy components. Following a manual harvest, the must undergoes a static decantation at room temperature overnight. Fermentation began in 500-liter French oak barrels, where the wine remained for approximately 12 months. During this period, weekly batônnage was performed to integrate the noble lees. The wine was subsequently transferred to stainless steel tanks for several months of stabilization before being bottled without filtration.

Tasting Note:

The nose is complex with concentrated aromas of lemon oil, honey, and wet stone. The palate is characterized by a creamy, buttery texture balanced by vertical tension and a saline mineral core. It concludes with a long, savory finish.
