Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos St Jean" Rouge 2019, 750ml

Covering 0.33 hectares with east orientation and calcareous clay soil, the 45-year-old vines produce a limited 880 bottles. The grapes undergo cold maceration, fermentation, and malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months in used and new barriques, then assembled in tanks to integrate for 6 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

Showing a mix of of cherries, raspberries, fresh earth, mushrooms, and firm tannins, young bottles also exhibit abundant plumed smoke notes. With age, these smoky aromas evolve into delicate red fruit and floral perfume.
