Domaine Guy Amiot Bourgogne Aligote "Les Grands Champs" 2020, 750ml

The Aligoté comes from from 80-year-old vines spread over 1.03 hectares just outside the Puligny-Montrachet, and Corpeau villages. With a yield of 40-50 hl/ha, the average production is around 5,000 bottles. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by batonnage and malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months, with 2/3 in tanks and 1/3 in older oak barrels, before being assembled in stainless steel tanks until bottling in late spring.

Tasting Note:

Ripe, with ample texture, featuring good underlying acidity for balance. Apple, almond, earth and herb flavors are defined by the tangy cut, finishing with lemon zest notes.
