Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Vergers" 2021, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from the 1er Cru vineyard of Les Vergers in Chassagne-Montrachet, planted on thin, gravelly limestone-dominant soils over a hard rock base. The grapes were gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels (approx. 20% to 25% new oak). The wine aged on its fine lees in barrels for 12 months before resting in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of lemon curd, ripe white pear, and citrus zest, complemented by white blossom, crushed flint minerality, and a subtle touch of toasted oak. The palate is sleek, vibrant, and precise, offering dense orchard fruit and white peach flavors balanced by a mouthwatering mineral structure and fresh acidity. The finish is long, dry, and focused, leaving lingering notes of saline citrus and fine spices.
