The nose is an amazing assault of ripe tropical fruit, newly integrated oak (1/3rd new oak, Vosges and Alliers oaks used predominantly), oatmeal, crushed toasted nuts, honey, grapefruit and wet stones. The palate is rich and full, yet stretched into a tautness by the lively acidity and minerality, that the power and flavour just keep coming, creating a brooding sense of power.
