Domaine Francois Carillon Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Macherelles" 2019, 750ml

The vines are located north of the village (towards Puligny) on limestone and rocky soils, similar to Les Perrières. The vines are 15 year old in average. Whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged for 18 months with 20% new oak, and occasional lees stirring.

Tasting Note:

Subtle but not invisible wood influence can be found on the ripe aromas of pear, apple and various citrus nuances. The dense and relatively powerful medium-bodied flavors possess a beguiling texture before ending in a moderately dry and lemony finish.
