Domaine Francois Carillon Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Combettes" 2023, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from a 0.80-hectare parcel in the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Combettes, situated near the Meursault border on clay-limestone soils. The grapes were carefully sorted, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels (25% new oak). The wine aged on its fine lees in barrels for 12 months before resting in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of white peach, crisp orchard fruit, citrus blossoms, and crushed limestone, accented by subtle biscuity warmth and subtle oak spice. The palate is focused, rich, and elegant, offering dense yellow fruit flavors balanced by exquisite balance, fine mineral precision, and driving acidity. The finish is long, structured, and persistent, ending on lingering spicy and saline notes.
