Domaine Francois Carillon "Cap au Sud" Chardonnay Vin de France 2021, 750ml

François Carillon sourced Chardonnay grapes from Southern France to compensate for the 2021 spring frost losses. These grapes, grown on clay-limestone soil, are vinified and aged in Puligny-Montrachet using the same methods as other Burgundy wines, with 20% new oak barrels for 11 months. The resulting wine has a lively, fruity nose and exotic fruit flavors with a fresh finish.

Tasting Note:

The color is lovely golden and in the aroma with a very fresh nuances of wild flowers, lime, peach and a bit of tropical fruit. Its dryness and structure in the aftertaste perfectly match the slightly exotic notes the wine offers, making it very harmonious and intense.
