Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot Pommard 1er Cru "Jarollieres" 2020, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1929-1945, 1.31ha) in Les Jarollières Premier Cru on the Volnay border of Pommard, with stony clay-limestone soils adjacent to Les Rugiens-Bas. The grapes are hand-harvested, fully destemmed, given a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 6-8 days, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by 18-21 days total cuvaison. Malolactic completed. Aged 13 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show dark raspberry and blackberry along with smoke and spice notes. The palate delivers richness and concentration with firm tannic structure and succulent acidity. Overall impression is one of powerful depth and persistent intensity reflecting the ripe structured vintage character in Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir.
