Domaine Jean Marc Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Le Ronceret" 2021, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the small 1er Cru Le Ronceret, situated on steep clay-limestone soils directly below Champans in Volnay. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 25% to 30% new oak) for 13 to 15 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with perfumed, elegant aromas of fresh red cherry, wild raspberry, and rose petals, layered with subtle liquorice, soft spice, and a light touch of oak. The palate is silky, medium-bodied, and bright, delivering vibrant red berry fruit, supple tannins and refreshing 2021 acidity. The finish is persistent, and clean, ending on delicate floral and chalky mineral tones.
