Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Pitures" 2019, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1958 and 1970) in the Volnay Premier Cru Les Pitures lieu-dit (0.52ha) on thin limestone-rich soils mid-slope above the village. The grapes are hand-harvested, fully destemmed, given a cold pre-fermentation maceration, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open vats followed by gentle extraction. Malolactic completed. Aged 15-18 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show red cherry and wild raspberry along with violet and light spice notes. The palate delivers silky texture and concentration with refined tannic structure and bright acidity. Overall impression is one of elegant intensity and persistent finesse reflecting the warm yet balanced 2019 vintage character.
