Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley Beaune 1er Cru "Les Reversees" 2017, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (average over 60 years) in the Beaune Premier Cru Les Reversées lieu-dit on a steep east-facing slope with white marl and limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, 20-30% whole cluster retained, given a cold pre-fermentation maceration, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open wooden tronconic vats with gentle punch-downs only. Malolactic completed. Aged 18 months in oak barrels using 20-25% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show red cherry and raspberry along with rose and wet stone notes. The palate delivers medium body and finesse with fine-grained tannic structure and bright acidity. Overall impression is one of refined elegance and persistent clarity reflecting the cool 2017 vintage character.
