Domaine Thibault Liger Belair Nuits St Georges "La Charmotte" 2020, 750ml

This 0.40-hectare vineyard, planted in 1962, is located on the border of the 1er Crus (Argilats and Bousselots) in the northern part of the appellation. Its name perfectly expresses its character: the finesse of Vosne-Romanée wines combined with the structure of Nuits-Saint-Georges wines.

The soils consist of clay in the first 40 to 50 centimeters, with underlying limestone and mother rock degradation.

The grapes are harvested by hand, with 40% whole cluster used. Fermentation lasts for three weeks with very moderate intervention. The wine is aged for 18 months, with 40% in new barrels.

Tasting Note:

It offers a rich and enveloping raspberry flavor with substantial power, balanced by refreshing acidity. The palate is filled with lush red fruit and supported by underlying tannins.
